AFSRT (AGENCY FOR SUSTAINABLE RURAL TRANSFORMATION)

Agency for Sustainable Rural Transformation (AFSRT) is a Civil Society Organisation which was formed in 2003, and legally registered in 2006 by a group of professionals. AFSRT contributes to the empowerment of rural communities in the Northern and Eastern regions of Uganda, through provision of appropriate information, skills and resources for equitable support of grassroots’ communities and their institutions to enhance participatory, economically dynamic and environmentally sustainable rural development.

We are working in Lango, Teso and Bunyoro sub-regions for the purpose of bridging the existing gaps in the service provision, especially in the agricultural, health, education, water and sanitation, and environmental sectors. In recent years the organisation has been scaling up its activities all geared towards sustainable development.
