Hope for the Poorest (HP)

ASA is a world renowned organization for it’s successful microfinance model. ASA replicated the model in different countries of the world. ASA perceived that only Microfinance support is not enough to change the living standard of the poor and hard core poor. Considering this perspective, ASA management established a sister concern organization titled “Hope for the Poorest” (HP) with a view to serve the most marginalized, vulnerable, poorest people of the country to improve their social, environmental and cultural status. HP has been implementing the various development programs related to health, education, rights and water & sanitation by the financial support of ASA.Right now HP also introduced some program in limited scale through Partnership with World Bank and Dutch WASH Alliance. Right now, the HP started it’s efforts to raise fund to serve more people through expanding the program all over the country having infrastructural facilities all over the countries.

Vision and Mission Statement of HP

Vision:
To create a society in all over the country which would socially just, democratic, healthy, environmentally balanced and people will lead the secured life, climate resilient, socially and economically empowered and free from all forms of violence.

Mission Statement:
To ensure well being of the poor and hard core poor people through employing the community led approach and ensure community ownership, participation, transparency and accountability, equality, gender and social justice and consider sustainability in all aspect of development and capacity building of staff, direct beneficiaries and other target groups.

Goal and Objectives of HP

Goal:
To improve the living standard to poor, most marginalized and vulnerable people living around the country through undertaking and implement needs based diversified program initiatives.

Objectives:
- To empower the poor and hard core poor people socially and economically.
- To promote rights and social justice for poor men, women, children including persons with disabilities and minorities.
- To increase the educational status of the poor through adult and child literacy program.
- To increase the health status of the poor through undertaking diversified health related program initiatives such as HIV/AIDS, Primary health care, MCH, FP, Environmental sanitation as well as water and sanitation and Hygiene promotion.
- To increase the agricultural production through using modern and innocative technology
- To assist people in disaster vulnerable people specially the people living in flood prone and coastal belt areas through preparedness, management, relief and rehabilitation services and making them climate resilient.
- To protect the environmental from degradation and pollution.
- To support the initiatives of the government as a development partner
- Ensure the participation of the disadvantaged, vulnerable people children in the development activities.
- To play advocacy role for consciousness raising on social development .
- To create network with similar minded NGO,s both national and international level and involve through partnership/Alliance member with potential donors/international communities.
