Start from 27th January through 2 february 2018 , Emcekaqu's team come to Kutakarang Village to do participatory rural appraisal as a part of an assessment to implement the project. Actually we have done the assessment before, but we thought that we didn't get enough data yet on some part, thus we conducted the assessment again.
we're very happy because now we focus on children to be our respondent for our assessment. Not just like the adult that could be interviewed by asking so many questions, we have to be creative! We play the game as a part of the assessment. It was very challenging for us because we never do that before and very afraid if our assessment method fails and does not get the data we need.
However, we were wrong! It was a very exciting experience because we got a very natural answer from the kids. with all the innocence of funds limited knowledge, we get the original data. We also use this assessment as our baseline to intervene them in the future. We do a focus group discussion as well to teach them about teamwork and validate some data we get before.
We are so excited to see them again next month!
