CCDN conducted FLOW and FIETS orientation to project staffs, drinking water user committee's executive members and cooperative's executive members successfully on August 7, 2013. In total, 18 participants (6 female and 12 male) were taken orientation on FLOW and FIETS principle of sustainability adopted by NWA. Among the participants, 5 persons from CCDN's project staffs, 11 persons from Bakuwa Manedanda drinking Water and Irrigation User Committee, Harnamadi and 2 persons from Small Farmer Agriculture Cooperative Limited (SFACL) Harnamadi. The program was facilitated by Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Magar (Executive Director, CCDN) and Mr. Basanta Kumar Shrestha (Makawanpur Program Coordinator, CCDN). From the orientation, participants have able to understand about the importance and uses of FLOW and they have also developed action plan to conduct baseline survey using FLOW in the field. According to action plan prepared by the participants, 100 households will be surveyed by using FLOW in four different cluster of target community from August 9, 2013. Similarly, Participants were also able to understand the importance of FIETS principle for the sustainability of WASH program and they also assess current status of FIETS and areas for improvement on ongoing WASH program at their community.
